How to fight ritualists in TA
I think the best strategy is to be sportsmanlike. At the start of the match, wait 30 seconds or so to make sure the rit has plenty of time to drop all his spirits. It would be unfair to attack before he is ready, after all. This "standoff period" also ensures your team will take another 80 or so DPS while also trying to punch through shadowsong, displacement, wanderlust, and so forth. Once the meat is up, you can choose between running in and attacking someone while getting pummeled by his meat army or you can wait for the rit to slowly advance his meat to you at your discretion.
Anyone who violates this rule by attacking the rit before he sets up, killing spirits, or interrupting them is a noob overextending wammo. >.<

well spoken. be sure to ask in general to make sure the rit is ready too, or to see if he just wants you to wait as he advances forward. rushing in to make a kill while he is still trying to prepare is noobish to the extreme, and not very polite either.

1 -- I dont play wammos. Anyone who does should be shot irl.
2 -- Rits who waste 30 minutes or more hiding their team behind an ocean of spirits should be shot irl.
3 -- Im not waiting for 30 minutes in a TA game. Anyone who does should get their head examined because its very likely there is something medically wrong with you.
Proof of a complete waste of time. Time Elapsed should NEVER go that long in TA. EVER. If it does you are a hiding noob and belong in PvE not PvP.

I get a kick out of the fact that a guy with 455 hps and no weapon swaps is ridiculing another player.

I get a kick out of the amazing synergy between Diversion and Backfire.
And in case anyone's sarcasm meter is broken, I was being sarcastic.

Plague touch >>> mending touch on bull's charge IMO, as long as you have another splittable character in your build that's running mend touch (aka cripshot or burning arrow).

EDIT: Bang :P:P:P

Plague touch would defy the point of it being a W/Mo!

Also~~~~IMPORTANT~~~
If the Ritualist is carrying vital weapon, let him cast it on his ENTIRE team before engaging. If the weapons aren't up you might kill them too fast, lowering their self esteem.

Also don't engage the spirits themselves, only the human players plz. To do otherwise would just be uncalled for.

Don't believe Dahnel guys, he is joking. Spirits are very dangerous and you have to attack them immediately. When engaging spirits, start with bloodsong, because that one is sucking your blood. Continue with the highest damage spirit: pain. Destruction is not doing anything at all for 30 sec, so don't attack it for say 20-25 sec but then be sure to run there and tell everyone to attack it before it explodes. Wonderlust is also a nasty one, but the good thing is that everytime it attacks, it is saccing itself. So the best way to kill it is to stand right beside it, stupid spirit will just kill himself (this is the job for the nukers, most of the time they are just waiting for their nukes to recharge anyways). Shadowsong is a harmless spirit, it does not even infilct damage when it attacks, leave it last if you are melee. Monks can help by wanding disenhancement spirit from close range, because I am sure they all hate that one.

Just make sure to ask the rt if he brought painfull bond if he's a spammer, because if he didn't, wou have to be polite to remember him and do /resign afterwards to give him a chance to pwn you in the upcoming matches. One more thing, if you are a w/mo, just rush if there's disenchantment; if you are a w/e, never rush without shadowsong; if you are a w/me, do not use hex breaker for GOD's Sake! If you are a boa sin, try to time your skills with wanderlust, so he breaks your chains. If you are a ranger, poison the spirits! If you are a mesmer, use all your spell interrupts on his rituals.
Seriously, spammers neglect the rt class; there's so much else to make use off, but of course, there's a little brain usage involved.
